Srijan probe

• Patna: Central Bureau of Investigation officials met the chief judicial magistrate of Bhagalpur on Tuesday, requesting cases related to the Rs 1,000-crore Srijan scam to be transferred to the special CBI court in Patna. The court has also been requested to transfer all the 17 arrested accused to Beur Central Jail.

Shot dead

• Biharsharif: Subodh Prasad, a JDU leader and chairman of primary agriculture cooperative society, was shot dead in Nalanda district on Monday night, allegedly over an old dispute.

JDU joining

• Patna: Former minister Brij Bihari Prasad, who had contested the last Assembly election as an Independent, joined the JDU on Tuesday.

• Patna: The government will provide subsidy to those interested in apiculture (beekeeping), agriculture minister Prem Kumar said on Tuesday.

• Patna: Arun Kumar Kushwaha, social worker from Bikramganj in Rohtas, joined the BJP on Tuesday before state unit president Nityanand Rai.
