Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has selected four schools in the state capital to start e-learning teaching process with special focus on health and sanitation.

CBSE sources said the software for the annual course has been installed at May Flower School and Sherwood School, while Eklavya Educational Complex and Kiddy Convent High School would get the facility soon.

The sources added that the software would be used to teach mathematics, physics and life skills with special fo-cus on health, hygiene and sa-nitation. Students from Class VIII would be covered under the project.

May Flower School principal S.N. Thakur said: “The software will be helpful for the students and the schools as well. It is a positive step to introduce e-learning process is in the field of health, hygiene and sanitation.” He added: “The software was installed in our school a few days ago free of cost. We welcome the board’s initiative.”

The sources the CBSE has selected 100 schools across the country to introduce the module, of which nine are in Bihar. Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammen (German Agency for International Co-operation) is sponsoring the project. The software is being installed as part of the the National School Sanitation Initiative.
