MU starts job cell

Gaya, April 15: Magadh University has started a placement cell for its students.

Three new courses having employment guarantee will also commence from June, announced Magadh University vice-chancellor Arvind Kumar at a news meet today.

He said the university had set up its placement cell at AN College, Patna.

Kalanath Mishra, professor, Hindi department, AN College has been made in-charge of the cell. From August 1 to 15, an employment camp will be organised at the college where over 5,000 degree holders will try their luck for job placements, added Arvind.

Three new courses — nano technology, museumology and geo exploration and drilling technology — will also be started.

Collaborating laboratory for the nano-technology course will be at Mahavir Cancer Research Institute and formalities in this regard have been completed. For the course in museumology, Rs 1 crore would be spent to build a museum which would function as a laboratory for the students.
