Michaelites shine in annual day function

The annual day function of St Michael's High School on Sunday showcased the essence of the rich culture and heritage of Bihar on Sunday.

Patna: The annual day function of St Michael's High School on Sunday showcased the essence of the rich culture and heritage of Bihar on Sunday.

The programme, christened "My Bihar My Pride", was organised on the institution's premises. Students performed the Bihar Gaurav Gaan apart from a dance drama, which reflected the glory of ancient Patliputra apart from highlighting the contribution of Emperor Asoka, Chanakya and Aryabhatta among others in the state's history.

Divisional commissioner Anand Kishor was the chief guest while principals of various other institutions also took part in the programme.

The programme started with the National Cadet Corps (NCC) students of the school giving guard of honour to the guests, which was followed by the school anthem.

Principal Father Armstrong Edison presented the annual school report during his speech and he also spoke about students' achievements in many fields in 2016-17.

The overall toppers of 2016-17 were also felicitated apart from the subject-wise toppers.

Divisional commissioner Kishor congratulated students for their achievements and encouraged them to excel in life.

Loyola joy

The Montford Montessori Home of Loyola High School also celebrated their annual day on Sunday. IAS Lokesh Kumar Singh and former principal of Montford Montessori Home of the school Brother T.K. James were among dignitaries present at the event.
