Patna: The Intermediate examination being conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board went smoothly with no major incidents reported from anywhere across the state on Thursday.
In the morning there were reports that the mathematics question papers for science and arts have gone viral. The board, however, denied the report. Sources said there were reports of the question paper going viral from an examination centre at Miller High School in Patna. When the board verified it was found to be a rumour.
Sources said mischievous elements with an attempt to create panic have been spreading canards of question paper leaks after someone uploaded a model paper on WhatsApp. The board has already stated that strict action will be taken against such persons under Indian Penal Code, IT Act and Bihar School Examination Board Act, 1981, for spreading rumours on question paper leaks.
A total of 55 students were expelled for use of unfair means during the test. Board chairman Anand Kishor visited various examination centres to take stock of the examination. Kishor visited Ram Lakhan Singh High School Punaichak and Bankipore Girls High School, which is a model examination centre with all employees and officials, including security personnel assigned on invigilation duty being women.
Kishor interacted with invigilators and centre superintendent on the measures taken by the school for smooth conduct of the examination.
