The mantra of recycling was advocated to AN College students visiting Tarumitra Ashram on Tuesday for sustainable development of the environment.
NGO Green Saver and Welfare organised a tour to the bio-reserve as part of the Wildlife Week (October 2-8) celebrations.
Spotting a rudraksh tree, Krishna Kumar, a student of environmental science, said: “The rudraksh beads help reduce tension and stress.”
The founder of Green Saver and Welfare, Suhawan Kumar Singh, said: “We should plant saplings, respect natural resources and generate less waste. Saying no to polythene bags would also go a long way to save the environment.”
