Gaya, May 21: Amid the rejoicing passouts of the CBSE Class XII examination of Nazareth Academy here, nobody was bothered about the marks obtained by one student.
Aditya Sachdeva.
The 19-year-old boy, allegedly shot dead by Rakesh Ranjan "Rocky" Yadav, has secured 69.04 per cent marks in the examination, the results of which were declared today.
The results were declared 14 days after the student of Intermediate commerce was killed on May 7 near Saryupokhar behind Gaya Central Jail.
However, for Aditya's family, his percentage hardly mattered. Elder brother Akash said: "When Aditya is not with us, what would we do with his result. Life had just started for him. He wanted to make career in the hotel industry. He had appeared for a competitive examination in a hotel management institute on April 24 and he was supposed to write another one in Delhi on May 12."
"The train reservation for the May 12 trip to Delhi had already been made. We came to know about the result through his friends who visited our house," Akash said.
Mother Chand had demanded Aditya's killers be punished before the publication of the results. On the demand, Akash said: "We just know that Rocky, Teni Yadav and bodyguard Rajesh Kumar have been forwarded to jail."
Nazareth Academy principal Sister Sofia Joseph said: "Aditya was a calm boy. He concentrated on studies. He was a mediocre student. He has secured around 70 per cent, while the highest percentage in Commerce from our school is 93 per cent. A young dream in Aditya has died prematurely and we want justice for the family."
