Patna, June 17: The JDU today released a booklet highlighting the Narendra Modi government's failures in its two years.

The booklet shows how the Centre had failed to honour the promises it had made prior to the 2014 general elections.

JDU spokesperson and MLC Neeraj Kumar along with MLC Chandeshar Prasad Chandravanshi, general secretary Navin Kumar Arya and office in-charge Anil Kumar released the booklet at the party office.

Neeraj attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and accused him of playing with the people's sentiments. The party demanded an annual report card from the Centre on the pattern of the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar.

"Modi ji made several promises before the Lok Sabha elections but none of them have been fulfilled," said Neeraj. "If the Centre has done any work towards development, why not present it in the way the Bihar government does every year?"

The booklet - Saach Ka Samna - depicts Modi on the cover, spinning a globe on his fingertip. The JDU has made sarcastic remarks in the book on Modi's frequent visit to foreign countries. It has called Modi "Global Baba".

"Our PM visits foreign countries so frequently that he probably looks around for seat belts during parliament sessions," scoffed Neeraj.

The front page of the booklet also highlighted other issues such as farmers not getting minimum support price.

The JDU said that growth had fallen from 18.7 per cent in March 2014 to 9.4 percent in March 2016, because of the Modi government.

"The country is undergoing a financial crisis under Narendra Modi's leadership," alleged Neeraj.

BJP state president Mangal Pandey said: "The booklet is the bunch of lies and has been released to divert people's attention from the issues that have put the state government on a back foot,"
