IIM Bodhgaya 100% placed

The second batch of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodhgaya have got 100 percent placement, a senior official of the institute said on Tuesday.

Gaya: The second batch of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodhgaya have got 100 percent placement, a senior official of the institute said on Tuesday.

The highest annual pay package offered was Rs 24 lakh. Of the total 42 students of the 2016-18 batch, 37 were hired during the campus selection. Five students had opted out of the campus selection, the official said.

Confirming the cent percent placement for students of academic session of 2016-18, institute's director Dr Vinita Sahay said: "The institute's success graph is on expected line. We are making efforts to ensure better packages from next session."

Prominent companies which offered jobs during the placements at the campus included ITC, NTPC, Bharat Petroleum, Indian Oil, Kotak Mutual Fund, Airtel, HDFC Bank, SBI and education.

"Our world-class academic infrastructure and academic collaboration with Harvard Business School of United States of America are attracting both the Indian and multinational companies operating in the country," Sahay said.

The maximum placement offers came from financial companies who recruited nine students. Seven students got jobs in the education sector, while three students each got placement in sectors such as real estate, cement, electrical vehicles company and technology, a report said. 

IIM Bodhgaya started in 2015 with only 30 students for the academic session of 2015-16. PTI
