Ignou online forms

• Patna: Online admission for all Ignou programmes is currently on. While the last date of submission of application forms for all post-graduate certificate programmes for the July 2017 session is June 30, for masters degree, bachelor degree, PG diploma and diploma it is July 31 without late fee, a press release said.

GST event

• Patna: A seminar-cum-awareness programme on GST for the oil industry took place in Patna on Thursday. The seminar was organised by IOC. Presentations were made on various aspects of GST. Issues relating to implementation of GST and concerns regarding transition of tax regime were discussed.

MLC dies

• Patna: Floral tributes were paid to former MLC P.K. Sinha who breathed his last on Thursday. Sinha, 81, served as a Bihar administrative service officer from 1961 to 1980 before joining politics.

Cigarettes

• Patna: The anti-smuggling wing of customs (preventive) seized foreign cigarettes worth Rs 22.50 lakh from a train at Hajipur railway station on June 27.
