Rajiv Ranjan Singh, a Railway Protection Special Force jawan, was arrested on the charge of harassing a girl while travelling by Poorva Express on Tuesday.

The cop, attached to the East Central Railway’s Danapur division, was a member of the escort team on the train.

A senior Government Railway Police (GRP) officer said the accused policeman was handed over to the Ara GRP as the victim had lodged a complaint against him there. The incident happened when the girl had gone to attend nature’s call. Her parents rescued the girl from the clutches of the allegedly drunk jawan.
