Gopalganj, March 15: Daud Alam is safe in Japan.

His family members in Gopalganj heaved a sigh of relief after they succeeded in contacting him on his mobile phone.

Daud Alam had gone to Japan in February last year.

He works as a manager in a company called Theoda Constructions at Yokama.

The tsunami struck Japan on Friday and it was only after two days on the night of March 13 that his wife Musharraf Parvin and other family members could contact him on his mobile phone .

According to his family members, he is safe and working and is in constant touch with them.
