Munger: The police have failed to trace Santosh Kumar Singh, a furniture dealer who is supposed to have been kidnapped from Laxmipur village, under the jurisdiction of Sangrampur police station in Munger district.

Samastipur: The police arrested Ranjeet Kumar when he was fleeing after opening fire at a public distribution shop located at Paridah village in Samastipur district on Friday. Sikandar Yadav and Neeraj Kumar have been admitted to the local sadar hospital for treatment. The police recovered the weapon used in the crime. A dispute over distribution of foodgrain and kerosene to consumers was said to be the reason behind the incident.
