Bhagalpur: Bhagalpur police on Monday managed to arrest Sattan Yadav, a most-wanted fugitive, who was also the main accused in the sensational killing of the RJD's then Bhagalpur district president Lakshmikant Yadav in 2008.

A resident of Raghopur Tikar, a diara under the jurisdiction of Madushudanpur police station in Nathnagar block of Bhagalpur, the police had earlier chargesheeted Sattan in nine cases. Nineteen other cases are pending against him, the SSP said.
He also said that Sattan used to purchase and sell land. Besides, he took extortion money. "Sattan's involvement has been established in many crimes in the recent past," he claimed.
"We were trying to track him and constituted a team under deputy superintendent of police Rajbansh Singh," the SSP said. "Using scientific help, the team finally managed to locate the fugitive and arrested him on Monday morning from Nathnagar locality."
