Lord Krishna will be decked up with 20 tonnes of flowers at the Patna-based International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) during Janmashtami celebrations on August 15 to be organised by the ISKCON Patna chapter.
Rose, jasmine and exotic flowers will be used to adorn the Lord, said ISKCON on Sunday. "The flower decoration is done once a year during Janmashtami. Apart from local flowers, we will also use exotic flowers to decorate Lord Krishna," said Nand Gopal Das, spokesperson of Patna chapter of ISKCON.
A sound-and-light show has also been planned at SK Memorial Hall in which the birth of Lord Krishna will be recreated by a group of artistes from Vrindavan on the same day.
The celebrations will begin at 8pm at the venue.
