The tourism department has lodged an FIR with the Bodhgaya police station against 16 persons, including five dead persons, on Tuesday.

The FIR has been lodged on the statement of Bihar State tourism development corporation manager in Bodhgaya Ajay Kashyap against 16 persons, all shop owners of the Mahabodhi shopping complex. Of the 16, five persons are no more alive.

In the FIR lodged by Kashyap, it has been mentioned that the owners of the 16 shops did not run business on their own and rented their outlets to others. Allotment of power connection in someone else’s name has been made the base of the FIR.

Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee members pasted a notice on the shops of the six persons on Wednesday for similar reasons.
