Patna, Sept. 13: Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Ltd chairman-cum-managing director Pratyaya Amrit today said consumers would soon be able to pay their energy bills at any time payment (ATP) kiosks through debit and credit cards also.

Power consumers, so far, have been paying their energy (electricity) bills at ATP kiosk either in the form of cash or cheque.

The payment at ATP kiosk through debit and credit cards is likely to be launched on Monday, power company sources said. But the distribution company would be installing more such ATP machines at malls, shopping complexes, cinemas, railway stations among other areas so that people can easily deposit their energy bills.

In another development, Vidyut Kamgar Padadhikari, Abhiyanta Sanyukta Sangharsh Morcha, an association of 15 various unions of engineers and employees, observed September 13 as “black day” to protest against the alleged police brutality to suppress their statewide demonstration in the city on this day last year.
