At least 50 people were arrested and over 15 others were detained on Sunday across the state for allegedly impersonating in an examination to recruit police constables.
Twenty-five of them were arrested in Nalanda alone.
Secretary of the central recruitment board of constables Gandheshwar Prasad Sinha confirmed the arrests. The examination was held across 751 centres in 37 districts for recruitment of constables in 7,606 posts of the state police force. Sheohar was left out because of lack of proper infrastructure.
“Around 8.5 lakh applications were received for the recruitment test,” Sinha added.
