Crossword registration starts

The registration process of the sixth edition of Inter-School Cryptic Crossword Competition, which is organised by the Patna-based organisation Extra C, has begun.

Patna: The registration process of the sixth edition of Inter-School Cryptic Crossword Competition, which is organised by the Patna-based organisation Extra C, has begun.

This national-level event in which students from classes IX to XII can take part through their respective schools will select contestants from 41 cities, two more places than where such rounds were organised. The additions are Gopalganj in Bihar and Deoghar in Jharkhand. The team contest is open to schools affiliated to any of the recognised boards in India.

A city round will be held in Patna, Ranchi, Bokaro, Ramgarh Cantonment, Deogarh, Jamshedpur, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Gaya and Gopalganj. While the city round of Patna will be organised on July 26, in Ranchi, it will take place on July 16.

The contest will kick off on July 10 with the New Delhi city round. It will be followed by 40 more city Rounds till September 7. The winning school of each city round will qualify for the grand finale to be held in Delhi in December.
