Chhapra, Feb. 2: A Patna High Court order is being openly defied as the salary of Ravi Prakash Bablu, a reader with Ganga Singh College, has not been paid for the past 11 months despite the court ordering the payment.
The Patna High Court in its interim order on October 1, 2010 had said till further orders, it should be deemed that petitioner Ravi Prakash has joined Ganga Singh College and the principal of the college should act accordingly.
Ravi Prakash is entitled to all remunerations from March 2010, which should have been paid to him latest by October 15, 2010. The responsibility of the payment would be on the vice-chancellor.
Not only then vice-chancellor R.P. Sharma failed to comply with the orders but also the principal of the college appears to be not complying with the high court order. According to Ravi Prakash, despite several reminders the principal does not provide him the attendance register and the timetable and thus his salary for months has been withheld.
On the other hand, principal of Ganga Singh College K.P. Srivastav told The Telegraph: “All the teaching and non-teaching employees mark their attendance but only Ravi Prakash does not do it. He has not submitted his last payment slip. He does not even come to the office of the principal to mark his attendance.”
