Motihari, May 13: The police claim to have cracked the kidnapping case of BCom student Nandan Kumar.

The 21-year-old youth was abducted allegedly for ransom by some of his friends from his Banjariya residence a week ago, police sources said. Kumar’s cellphone was used by the abductors to make the ransom demands, the sources added.

The police have apprehended at least eight suspected people and started and interrogation. Deputy superintendent of police (headquarters) Mohammad Moqueem, who is heading the investigation, said the victim would be traced soon.
