Patna: The city and several other parts of the state would witness cloudy conditions till Wednesday.
Chances of rain or thunderstorm, however, are thin according to the prevailing climatic factors over the state.
The temperature level would be comfortable during this period and day temperature is likely to be below 35 degrees Celsius because of the clouds.
Patna Met office scientist Anand Shankar on Monday told The Telegraph: "Easterly and southeasterly wind is blowing over the state up to a height of 0.9km from the surface whereas in the upper air the dominant wind is southerly or southwesterly. The convergence of the two winds is leading to cloud formation."
He added: "But for a few places chances of rain or thunderstorm in the state were thin according to the climatic factors existing in Bihar.
"There is no cyclonic circulation hovering over Bihar otherwise it would have given impetus to the development of thunderstorm and rain," he added.
In its daily weather report issued on Monday evening, the India Meteorological Department said moderate rainfall occurred at one or two places over northeast Bihar and the weather remained dry over the remaining parts of the region.
The highest maximum temperature was 35.4 degrees Celsius and the lowest minimum was 18.0 degrees Celsius at Dehri and Sabour respectively.
On chances of rainfall or storm in Patna, the scientist said if any favourable condition is visible the Met office would issue an alert.
"As of now we have not observed any such condition," he said.
On the likely weather condition that would prevail in the city after Wednesday, the scientist said westerly wind was likely to set in from Thursday which would lead to lower relative humidity and clear skies.
