Residents of the state capital can expect a sunny and cool Diwali.
With the minimum temperature hovering around 15°C, weathermen have predicted a chilly morning and evening during this year’s festival of lights. Possibilities of rain have been ruled out but the weather forecasters said there would be mist in the morning and the evening.
Ashish Sen, the director (radar) of India Meteorological Department, said: “The minimum temperature has fallen by up to 3°C in the past three days. But the westerly winds have started to blow again, jacking up the maximum and the minimum temperatures on Monday. However, people can expect a bright weather this Diwali. The maximum temperature will be around 30°C and the minimum will hover around 15°C on Tuesday.”
Sen added that winter is expected to arrive in Patna by the third week of November.
