Chief minister Nitish Kumar said he had asked the police to take action on the allegation that some activists put up a roadblock and made a journalist chant Jai Shri Ram, PTI said.

NDTV India programme coordinator M. Ataharuddin Munne Bharti was travelling by car to Samastipur on June 28 when it allegedly happened. Nitish heard of it on July 1 and asked the police to take action. "They talked to the journalist, but he refused to file an FIR," Nitish said. "However, I asked the police to consider the news on a website as information and take action."
