Birla Institute of Technology (BIT)-Patna will start a two-year MBA course and a five-year integrated programme on the discipline from the next academic session.
Institute director S. L. Gupta on Wednesday said it has received a consent from the BIT-Mesra administration to start the two programmes. “Admission for the MBA programme will be done on the basis of Common Admission Test (CAT) score, followed by interview and group discussion of candidates,” he added.
For admission in the MBA programme, 60 per cent weightage would be on CAT scores and 40 per cent on group discussion and interview. The admission for the integrated programme would be on the basis of Class XII marks. The BIT-Patna is also planning to launch a three-year bachelor’s degree in computer application, admission for which would depend on Class XII marks. The student-intake capacity of the three programmes would be 40 each.
