Patna: Health minister Tej Pratap made asurprise inspection at the health department on Monday and found a number of people absent from duty.

He issued a directive that all staff members have to be present between 9.30am and 6pm, or face strict action.

Patna: A high court division bench on Monday directed the state government to file a counter-affidavit in a case over a plot that had MLA flats and that a petitioner claims belongs to the high court.

Patna: A high court division bench of acting Chief Justice I.A. Ansari and Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh on Monday directed all principals and superintendents of government medical colleges to appear before it in a case related to encroachment on the campuses of the medical colleges.

Chhapra: More than 36 cattle died and many more were injured when the vehicle in which they were being transported fell into a roadside ditch bear Mathia on Monday. Police found that the cattle were being transported using fake papers.

Muzaffarpur, Jan. 11: Three youths snatched a gold necklace and a wallet from students of Mahat Darshan Das Mahila College near Shivshankar Road this evening. An FIR was lodged at Mithanpura police station.
