Minors drown
Patna, May 10 (PTI): Eight minors drowned in separate incidents in the state today. Four boys, identified as Md Yasin (9), Md Sajjad (10), Md Barkat (9) and Mohan Kumar (10), drowned in a waterbody while bathing in Ladbaiya-Bahiyar village in Begusarai, a police officer said.
In another incident, bodies of Jafar and elder brother Bittu were recovered from Sone in Rohtas two days after they went missing, SP Shivdeep Lande said. In Buxar, Golu Chaudhary (12) and Ajay Kumar (14) drowned in Ganga while taking bath, a police officer said. The bodies were recovered by divers from Shamrekhaghat.
PAN cards
New Delhi (PTI): The government will launch a mega programme to provide PAN cards to all. An online facility is on the anvil under which an applicant can get a PAN card within 48 hours, sources said.
