The BJP and JDU shared some humorous banter amid serious discussions in the Assembly on Friday.
It all started when BJP leader Nand Kishore Yadav raised questions about building a hall for lawyers to sit in at the Patna City court. Law minister Krishnandan Prasad Verma said a building could be built if land was available. Chief minister Nitish Kumar said: "You were with me for seven-and-a-half years. You built so many things. How could you miss the lawyers' building?"
Nand Kishore said he did not do politics with development. Speaker Vijay Chaudhary said if Nand Kishore made land available, he was sure Nitish would build the building.
Later, Nand Kishore raised delay in laying of cable wires in Patna City.
When power minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav blamed the Assembly polls for the delay, Nand Kishore said only taking up new projects was forbidden during polls. "I wonder if he had control over officials during polls," Nand Kishore taunted.
