Patna, Oct. 7: The BJP today presented its blueprint to reach out further at the grassroots level in Bihar with an eye on the 2019 Lok Sabha polls and set goals for partymen.

The goals include strengthening the party structure in the state and making 20 new members in every booth. The plan was formalised on the second and concluding day of the state executive meeting in Patna today in the presence of Union and state ministers, MPs, MLAs and workers.

Delivering the closing address, BJP national organisational general secretary Saudan Singh asked members to ensure strengthening of party structures from the booth-to 'shakti Kendra' or 'party panchayat committee' level.

'We want to lay the foundation of politics on the basis of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's concept to deliver the benefits of welfare programmes to the poor and deprived in society,' Saudan said. 'For this we have to ensure our party is strong at the booth and 'shakti kendra' level. We can achieve desired results only through coordination, active work and cooperation. We are giving you (party workers) a task to make 20 new members at every polling booth in the state.'

Deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi praised implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Bihar BJP chief Nityanand Rai thanked Prime Minister Modi and BJP national chief Amit Shah for reconstitution of a commission for backward classes, as it would ensure their participation in national development. He attacked RJD chief Lalu Prasad for opposing the commission. 'He (Lalu) has shown that he is not bothered about anybody except his family members,' Nityanand said. 'He will not be able to open his account in the 2019 general elections.'

He said the Congress, too, would go down with the RJD in the next parliamentary elections.

Nityanand also announced six programmes that will be organised at the booth level next year.
