Chefs display items for the Beer and Biryani Food Festival, which started on Thursday at hotel Maurya’s Spice Court restaurant. The menu consists of traditional biryani from Hyderabad, Pakistan, and even Afghanistan. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian platters, including kachche gosht ki biryani, Hyderabadi murg biryani, paneer motian biryani, Afghani mutton biryani and Pakistani murg biryani, too, would be served. The chefs have experimented with the taste and fused sea-food with biryani creating the macchi masaledar biryani and tawa jhinga biryani. Foodies can also taste dahi burani raita, baghare baingan and have chilled beer. The biryanis have been priced between Rs 450 and Rs 800. “We have tried to compile all kinds of biryanis to help people get a taste of this dish across the globe,” said Kunal Trivedi, the restaurant’s manager. The grub fest would continue till May 5. Text by Shambhavi Singh, picture by Deepak Kumar |
