Music concert

Patna: Jalsa, a pan-India concert, would be staged at SK Memorial Hall on Saturday from 7pm. Classical singer Pandit Rattan Mohan Sharma and Kavita Seth are expected to entertain music lovers with bhajan, ghazal and Sufi performances at the programme.

Jawan mishap

Chhapra: An Indo-Tibetan Border Police jawan, Vishal Pandit, died in a road accident at Baniapur on Friday. He was travelling on a motorcycle when the two-wheeler was hit by a car.

SIM action

Motihari, March 13: Stern action would be taken against distributors providing fake SIM cards to criminals in East Champaran.

This was decided during a review meet held by zonal IG Paras Nath with superintendent of police Sunil Kumar on Thursday in the view of the growing instances of misuse of SIM cards by criminals, especially in cases related to extortion.

Fire arrests

Buxar: Ten people were arrested on Friday and 45 were named accused in setting police stations and a chowkidar on fire on Wednesday evening in Golambar.

Power cut
