Patna: Telangana's Durishetty Anudeep has topped the civil services 2017 examination conducted by UPSC, the final results of which were declared on Friday evening.

For Atul, 26, a native of Mangraon village under Rajpur police station of Buxar district, around 160km west of Patna, this was his second attempt at the all-India services. His father Ashok Kumar Rai is posted as chief engineer in the East Central Railway headquarters at Hajipur in Vaishali.
"It is a memorable day for the family," Rai told The Telegraph late on Friday night.

In 2016, Atul, in his first attempt, was selected for the railway services. "He was not satisfied and doubled his determination for another attempt," said Rai.
Anu Kumari has graduated with BSc (Hons) in physics from Delhi University and has done an MBA.
