Banking services boost

Andhra Bank on Friday organised a programme to create awareness among customers about their rights towards service provided by the bank in conformity with banking codes and standards prescribed by Banking Codes and Standards Board of India (BCSBI).

Patna: Andhra Bank on Friday organised a programme to create awareness among customers about their rights towards service provided by the bank in conformity with banking codes and standards prescribed by Banking Codes and Standards Board of India (BCSBI).

Andhra Bank's executive director Kul Bhushan Jain said: "Our objective is to understand grievances and solicit advice for improving quality of service provided."

The programme was organised by Andhra Bank's Patna Zone in collaboration with BCSBI, the banking industry watchdog which ensures the bank adheres to prescribed standards of codes and conduct while providing services. "If customers are aware of their rights it will prompt people working in the industry to improve their quality of service in order to serve customers better, Kul Bhushan Jain said on the sidelines.

Jain was accompanied by Andhra Bank general manager T. Srinivasa Rao and Patna zone manager Ch. Srinivasa Sastri.
