Motihari, March 22: The north Bihar bandh call given by the Maoists, passed off peacefully today.

The rebels had called for a bandh in protest against killing of six rebels in police encounter at Darmaha under Kesariya police station of East Champaran on March 13.

The Maoists had distributed posters and handbills in about half-a-dozen villages under Patahi and Chhauradano police station areas on Sunday night. The rebels had called for the bandh and threatened to kill 60 policemen for killing their their six men.
