An additional district and sessions judge, Chandrabhushan Prasad Singh, was granted bail in an assault case after he surrendered before a Nawada court on Monday.

Singh, posted in Jharkhand’s Sahebganj district, was granted bail in the case filed by his father four months ago, reports PTI. He surrendered before chief judicial magistrate Vishnudev Rai.

His father had alleged Singh assaulted him and took Rs 10,000 of his pension. After hearing both parties’ arguments, Rai granted Singh bail.

Pragyas Singh, a retired constable of Ranchi central jail, had filed the case at Town police station in Nawada district on January 12 against his son.
