A group of men, which included students, attacked three private coaching centres in Bhikhna Pahadi area under the jurisdiction of the Kadamkuan police station on Monday afternoon.

Police said the angry mob ransacked the coaching centres and also looted some of their belongings.

The officers could not ascertain the reasons behind the attack till reports last came in but suspected that the rivalry between many such coaching centres located in the same area as one of the reasons.

The matter is being investigated from all possible angles.
