The mathematician was the chief guest at the programme organised by the alumni association of NSS College of Engineering (Palakkad) and IndiansinKuwait.com.
Anand stressed on undertaking research that meets needs of the future. "Research and innovations are changing the world rapidly and these are showing the right path to the world while new discoveries and inventions are making life easier," said Anand, who has sent more than 400 students from Super 30 to different IITs since its inception in 2002.
"But it might be just the beginning. It is now important to get a feel of what the requirements would be in the coming years and decades." Telegraph picture
