Patna, May 10: Police have arrested four criminals who were on their way in an ambulance to eliminate one Chandan Kumar, who is undergoing treatment at Patna Medical College and Hospital.

The four were arrested from the tempo stand near Kargil Chowk.

The four arrested are Manish Kumar Yadav, Vinay Kumar, Mohammed Zafar and Samad Tasdik. Two country-made pistols and three cartridges were recovered from there, senior superintendent of police (SSP) Alok Kumar said.

The police also seized the ambulance in which they were travelling.

Police claim the four told them they had shot at Chandan on April 10 near a petrol pump in Sultanganj. The quartet was on way to PMCH to kill Chandan when they were intercepted.

The four have used the ambulance in the past as well to execute their plans.
