Adri starts green skill training session

The Centre for Environment, Energy and Climate Change (CEECC), which works under the aegis of the Asian Development Research Institute (Adri), on Tuesday started its training session on green skill development.

Patna: The Centre for Environment, Energy and Climate Change (CEECC), which works under the aegis of the Asian Development Research Institute (Adri), on Tuesday started its training session on green skill development.

The programme, a flagship project of the Union ministry of environment, forest and climate change, aims to create pool of trained manpower that can contribute to environment protection and conservation.

The 45-day programme has been designed in collaboration with the National Skill Development Agency.

The course includes sessions on water budgeting and auditing, and pollution monitors.

A total of 41 participants from various academic disciplines are taking part in the training.

Experts from various sectors will train the participants.

"Scientists alone cannot change the world by their inventions or policies; the whole community has to work together in order to get the schemes implemented," said Adri director P.P. Ghosh.

Abinash Mohanty, director, CEECC, interacted with the participants on Tuesday.

The green skill development programme coordinator and information officer of the CEECC, Pragya Paramita Gupta, conducted the orientation where participants were briefed about the course, its aim and scope.
