Styles of the season
Fashion, accessories and home picks — Nouveaau, partnered by t2, brings them all together under one roof. And there is plenty to choose from for those who want to shop for Sindhara and Rakhi, as 90 labels from all across India will set up shop. Besides Calcutta, labels from Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Raipur, Jaipur and Kashmir will be showcasing their creations. T-shirts by Armani Exchange will form a part of the fare. Other fashion labels include Mrinalini, Amrisha J, Riitih, Sonia K Mahajan, Cyynosure and Saira Fashions. Bunkar Craft showcases its bridal range. Alka Saraf, La Solitaire, Kanak, Vogue by Ritu Agarwal, Hiya, Bijouterie, Ayati, Minoti and Vivaza Diamonds will be adding jewel jazz. Rakhis by Kkusum will also be up for grabs. Conifer, Mom & Me, Oyster, Xtuti, Studio Pottery, Cinderella Shoes, Just Bags, Almas, Icy, Shimmerez and Elegant Touch are some of the other labels on show. Basil, Cuisine Dezine, Coco Treat and Go Coco offer some of the bite right options.

LECTURE

July 16 at the Conference Hall, 4th floor, Bhasha Bhavan, National Library; 11am: The National Library, Calcutta hosts the B.S. Kesavan Lecture to be delivered by Professor A.R. Venkatachalapathy of Madras Institute of Development Studies on Cultures of Copyright: Authors and Publishers in Colonial India. The lecture is being organised as part of the celebrations of 175 years of the foundation of Calcutta Public Library, the first public library in the country and the parent institution of National Library.

ALBUM LAUNCH

July 16 at Music World, 18G Park Street; 1pm: Asha Audio presents the launch of Tagore Unbound, an album of Tagore songs rendered by Ustad Rashid Khan, Usri Banerjee and Bonnie Chakraborty. July 17 at Dr Triguna Sen Mancha, Jadavpur University; 6.30pm: Ananyo Music presents the launch of Shyamalsundaro, an album of Tagore songs by Sipra Saha and Rano Guha Thakurta along with narration by Biswasjit Chakraborty and Srilekha Mitra.
