For sisters Dhruvika and Shagun Agarwal (right), getting a tattoo of their favourite cartoon character was top priority. One-year-old Shagun also joined Doraemon for a quick dance on stage as Dhruvika, a KG student of La Martiniere for Girls, looked on. “Dhruvika never misses a single episode of Doraemon and now Shagun is following suit,” said dad Manish Agarwal.
Dipshikha Singh, a cabin member with an airline, had dropped in at City Centre II with her friend Anjali Desai and was surprised to see her favourite cartoon character on stage. “This cartoon is so refreshing. I am not really at an age to own merchandise galore but I have a Doraemon key ring attached to my file that I flaunt without any hesitation,” said Singh.
Six-year-old Palak Verma was visiting City Centre II with her dad Manoj Verma for a Sunday afternoon of fun and was surprised and thrilled to meet up with Doraemon there. “My favourite character in the series is Shizuka,” said the Class I student of DPS Megacity, as she tried her hand at bowling.
Vaani Gupta of Ashok Hall Girls’ Higher Secondary School had to wait for two hours for a click with her favourite cat but she was not complaining. “I am so happy to have clicked a picture with Doraemon. I will flaunt it at school tomorrow and make my friends super jealous,” quipped the Class II student, as she held the picture with pride.
