After a crazy Xmas Eve with Shankar Mahadevan, The Saturday Club partied it up with Remo Fernandes on New Year’s Eve at Ballantine’s Golf Retreat presents The Saturday Club 31st Nite powered by Senco Gold in association with David & Goliath. The evening started with a performance by music band Kross Konnection who set the mood with hits like My Heart Goes Sha La La La, I Want To Break Free, Sway and Crazy Little Thing Called Love. Remo who took over the stage along with his band The Microwave Papadums later, followed up with some of his hits like Humma humma, O meri munni, Maya ya, Maria pitache that got the crowd grooving but saved the romantic Pyaar toh hona hi tha for post-midnight. “For the first time I came for sound check and I didn’t have to change anything about the sound today. It was a brilliant night, I also want to say thank you very much to a very lovely audience,” said Remo.
Besides the usual kebabs and Oriental dishes, we totally loved how the menu had typical winter dishes like Sarson da Saag and Makki di Roti from Amber along with Honey Glazed Ham from the club’s food counter. The food was washed down with straight drinks like vodka, whisky, wine and more.

“This time we have been a lot relaxed on the dress code so we had a lot of youngsters coming. The line-up was great tonight and after bringing Shankar on Xmas Eve, getting a legend like Remo Fernandes was something nobody expected. We wanted to conclude 2019 and usher in a new decade in style and with a bang!” said Dipak Doshi, president, The Saturday Club.
