The Telegraph Salt Lake celebrated its 10th anniversary at City Centre last Friday and in attendance on the occasion were representatives from all blocks of the township and residents of some apartments of New Town.
The first edition of The Telegraph Salt Lake had reached doorsteps on August 12, 2005.
Prizes for the The Telegraph Salt Lake Super Souvenir 2014 and Click Your Township contests were also distributed on the occasion.

The Royal Bengal Room filled up long before the event started and guests got a quick recap of the 10-year journey through a short video film.
Industrialist Harsh Neotia, chess grandmaster Dibyendu Barua, principal secretary and Hidco chief Debasish Sen and actress Gargee Roy Chowdhury handed out prizes to the winners of the contests. “Back when I lived in central Calcutta I would wonder if moving to Salt Lake would be a good idea. The Telegraph must have had similar doubts when the Salt Lake edition was being launched,” said Barua. “But then my stay here has been great and the newspaper has had a great run too. All the best to The Telegraph Salt Lake for the coming years,” he said.
Jawed Shamim, Bidhannagar police commissioner, and Pawan Kadyan, chairman, board of administrators, Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation, also dropped by.
The evening ended with a sumptuous dinner and drinks. A special diary and a compilation of the winning articles were handed out to every guest on the way out.
