Ayoung doctor, son of a deputy inspector general of police (DIG), is kidnapped by terrorists in Tripura. They demand a ransom of Rs 25 lakh for his release. The doctor is finally rescued by a reporter of a renowned broadcasting corporation who refuses all help from the state's administration. The play is based on a true incident that took place in Tripura a few years ago and later immortalised in a short story, Eto Rokto Keno? by noted author Samaresh Mazumdar. Scripted by Shomnath Boral, Khoron reflects the problems of racism, terrorism and political unrest that continue to plague the contemporary world. Baniprosad Banik is the play's music director while Kharaj Mukhopadhyay lends his voice to the songs. This Ajantrik Natya Sangstha production is directed by Sukanta Basak.
