Moyuree Mukherjee, a second-year  student of Presidency University, and Soumya Sekhar Gangopadhyay, a third-year student of Scottish Church College, will be a part of the UK-India Debate Tour, Calcutta Debating Circle’s (CDC) first public speaking representation in London, from March 13 to 17. They will join CDC president Kunal Sarkar and trustee Pradeep Gooptu. “This is the first formal debating contingency going to London. The International Debate is an established event and we wanted to take it forward and engage in meaningful exchanges,” Sarkar said. The tour will include a visit to the House of Commons to witness a debate, a discussion on health care hosted by The Spectator, an exhibition debate at Goodenough College and a public debate at Tea House Theatre in Vauxhall. “I am thankful, this is great exposure,” said Moyuree. “I am looking forward to representing India in London,” Soumya added. The tour was announced at a press conference attended by CDC trustee Sandip Chatterjee and executive member Shankar Ramalingam.
