Calcutta High Court today directed the superintendents of six correctional homes to file affidavits stating details of inmates and how many of them got remuneration.

Calcutta, Feb. 4: Calcutta High Court today directed the superintendents of six correctional homes to file affidavits stating details of inmates and how many of them got remuneration.

Justice Asim Kumar Roy passed the directive after an undertrial of Alipore Correctional Home informed him that he was not given remuneration despite working in the jail for six hours a day. Notices have been sent to the Presidency, Alipore, Jalpaiguri, Behrampore, Midnapore, Cooch Behar and Dum Dum correctional homes
