West Midnapore, Dec. 11: Rakesh Jha, a third-year chemical engineering student of IIT Kharagpur, was reported missing from the college hostel since November 22.

A missing diary was filed on Monday by the assistant security officer of the institute. Conflicting accounts emanated from the campus, with some people saying the 21-year-old student was seen on December 3.
