Balurghat, July 7: A 55-year-old man was arrested by the BSF in Hili on Saturday for allegedly trying to smuggle a 1kg gold bar.

Nripen Sarkar had cut the gold bar into two and was taking it to Balurghat in a bus by bandaging the two parts on the upper portions of his thighs.
