A blue-throated Barbet, locally known as Basanta Bouri

I am an IT professional living in Salt Lake since 1980. I love the greenery, the cleanliness and the calm and quiet environment here. I also love Salt Lake and Rajarhat for the variety of birds that live there. Almost every weekend early morning, I pick up my camera and go to either the Rajarhat wetlands or to Central Park to observe and click birds. I also have clicked a lot of birds right from my balcony. In this series, I am sending some of my favourite snaps that I have clicked in last four-five months.
