Tiger carcass in Sunderbans creek
It was sent for post-mortem to ascertain the cause of the death

The carcass of an adult tigress was found floating on the waters of a narrow creek in Khanakali, between Pirkhali 4 and Pirkhali 5 range, in the Sunderbans Tiger Reserve on Friday, a forest department official said.
The carcass was spotted by a patrol team on a mechanised boat.

“We have sent the body for post mortem to ascertain the cause of the death. It is an adult tigress and was found floating on the waters of a creek,” said Tapas Das, the field director of the Sunderbans Tiger Reserve.
